How did Google came up with the name "Nexus One "
It seems that Google has been getting a lot heat these days. Besides the Google Buzz episode, they've also been accused of borrowing the word "NExus" from some science fiction writer.
In this youtube video, a beautiful and sexy geek (i think she's dutch), hotforwords, explores the etymology of the word Nexus. She argues that nexus is an old latin word that in english means to bind. The words network and internet actually originiated from the english root word "ned", which came from the latin nexus. So in the end, it seems that the word nexus is an apt way to call a phone since it to bind users or to join users in a network.
about the girl, it's the first I saw hotforwords today. Her videos are really cute but you gotta wonder if she's just faking her geekiness. Anyway, I guess she's doing some good stuff since a lot of guys stand to learn something from her videos: sex sells, and we all learn better when we enjoy what were doing.
Anyway, from a marketing perspective, I think what she's doing is a great way to garner some eyeballs and then redirect some of the traffic to her sponsors. (see the outbound links)... that's just genius! im subscribing now :)

Obama T-Pain video
Obama singing Ala T-pain
I guess its no secret nowadays that pop songs produced today are mostly digitally altered to have a perfect pitch or to achieve a certain effect. And the tool that makes most, if not all, of this possible is Auto-tune. Auto-tune is an effects plug-in for digital sound editing software that automatically corrects the pitch of a voice. There was an explosion of auto-tune songs after T-Pain created a whole hit album using the technique. Other artists soon followed suit including Kanye West, Janet Jackson, P diddy, jamie foxx, etc...
In late 2009, T-Pain, along with the Anteres, the originial company that developed auto-tune, launched an auto-tune Iphone app. titled I am T-Pain. So in Oct. of 2009 at the Jimmy Kimmel Show, the app. was used in some of Obama's speeches and make it sound as if he's having a duet with T-pain.

Google's Video Statement about Buzz
From Google: "If we tell you to buzz, you buzz!"
They are fucking Google, and they fucking run our lives!
Google is now the most mega-lithic uber-corporation that holds an unprecedented power over the global economy so they can do whatever they want!
In the video, it states that their strategy is just to copy something profitable and spend trillions of dollars to make their version:
- Map quest to Google Maps
- Facebook and twitter to Google Buzz
- Skype to Google Video
- iPhone to Google Phone
If they cant create their own, they just buy it, like Youtube.

Money Banking and the Federal Reserve
The Truth About Money
Okay so most people regard this as a conspiracy theory. But I do believe that all people should watch this and decide for themselves if what we know as truth are just lies perpetrated by people at the top. Basically, this says that paper money is worthless since its value was severed to gold and that the Federal reserve has allowed the printing of money almost like in the game of Monoply, leading to boom and bust cycles we experience in our economy.
This is one hell of a download youtube video and keeping on your computer until you have kids to educate them to what the rich knows.
J&K Wedding Entrance Dance
This one's a real funny youtube video that went viral and spawned a revolution in weddings. Couples we're only being creative in their reception dances before but the whole entourage with the bride and groom getting their groove on right at the start of the ceremony.
It's Jill and Kevin dancing to Forever by Chris Brown for their wedding entrance dance. It was first uploaded on June 19, 2009 and was one of the most copied and saved youtube videos of 2009.
Uploaded by "TheKeinz" who I think is the Groom, Kevin.
